25 people
from various walks of life united by a common passion for photography came
together on 8th April, 2017 to the 1st #AvTvISO_BangalorePhotowalk
at Freedom Park in Bangalore.
An ideal place for an early
morning photo walk, the sprawling 21 acre Freedom Park is inspired by parks in
London. At one time, it housed the central jail and so is now home to the barracks,
a central tower, the jail museum, a sculpture court, a water fountain and a big
open children’s play area making it an ideal place for photography. We saw many
of the photo walkers lost in capturing the architectural details of the jail
while some drew inspiration from people using the park for play or otherwise.
What was remarkable was that a
group of people who had perhaps not met before shared an experience together
where each one was comfortable to talk about the ideas they loved and give each
other constructive feedback. It did not matter if someone was new to
photography or another person was a professional. This was a platform where
everyone contributed to a lot of discussions around photography. There was much
learning and even more sharing with participants enthusiastically practicing
the art photography.

taken that day and many perspectives emerged from the photo walk. The photo
walkers have already uploaded their clicks from the day on their Instagram and our
Facebook Group. If you want to see
